Water Damage Service Area: Mission Viejo and Nearby Cities
Our dispatch line covers Mission Viejo and five neighboring cities, around the clock. Find your city below and check which water district serves your address.
Mission Viejo core: ZIP codes 92691 and 92692
Mission Viejo is home base. Both of its main ZIP codes, 92691 and 92692, are inside the core area, and calls from either one go straight to the dispatch line for the nearest available contractor. If you live in a condo with a leak from the unit above, or in a single-family house with a wet ceiling, the process is the same.
Most homes here are owner-occupied houses, with a smaller share of attached and multifamily buildings, according to Census and state housing figures. That matters for scope: a leak in an apartment-style building often involves a neighbor's unit and a building association, while a house leak usually stays within one property. Tell the dispatcher which kind of building you live in.

Five nearby cities, one dispatch line
Lake Forest
Lake Forest sits northwest of Mission Viejo and includes the Foothill Ranch area in ZIP 92610 alongside 92630. See the Lake Forest page for local notes. Check your address before a call about a main break, because the city lists several water agencies.
Laguna Niguel
Laguna Niguel, ZIP 92677, lies southwest of the Mission Viejo base. Our Laguna Niguel coverage explains what we dispatch for there. Moulton Niguel Water District lists the city in its service area, so that is the first agency to contact about a supply-side leak.
Rancho Santa Margarita
Rancho Santa Margarita, ZIP 92688, is east of Mission Viejo, and nearby Coto de Caza is covered too. The Rancho Santa Margarita page has the details. The city names two providers, with the east side served by a different district than the rest.
Laguna Hills
Laguna Hills, ZIP 92653, is to the west, with Aliso Viejo next door. Visit the Laguna Hills page for city notes. Two water districts serve parts of the city, so confirm yours before you hunt for a shutoff.
San Juan Capistrano
San Juan Capistrano, ZIP 92675, lies to the south, and Dana Point is within reach as well. The San Juan Capistrano page covers creek-side flooding concerns. Santa Margarita Water District took over the city's water and wastewater system in 2021, so it is the first agency to call about a main-line problem.
How coverage works
We do not staff crews ourselves. When you call, the dispatcher confirms your address, collects the details and passes the job to a licensed and insured local restoration contractor who works your area. Same-day response when available, though no arrival time can be promised.
Coverage is by address, not by city name alone. A few homes sit near a city line or have a mailing city that differs from where the property actually is. Give the dispatcher the street address and ZIP, and they will tell you plainly whether we can send someone. The services page lists the kinds of work contractors handle once they arrive.
Water districts by address
Which agency delivers your water depends on where you live, and a few cities have more than one. Knowing yours before a leak lets you call the right office about a broken main, a meter shutoff or low pressure.
Mission Viejo itself lists four providers: El Toro Water District, Moulton Niguel Water District, Santa Margarita Water District and Trabuco Canyon Water District. Depending on your address, your water district may be any of them. Check your bill to see which, and keep the number near your main shutoff valve.
Around the area it varies. Lake Forest is served mostly by Irvine Ranch Water District, with El Toro and Trabuco Canyon serving other addresses. Laguna Hills is split between El Toro and Moulton Niguel. Rancho Santa Margarita is mostly Santa Margarita, with Trabuco Canyon on the east side. In San Juan Capistrano, Santa Margarita runs the system, and Moulton Niguel's service area also lists part of the city.
A district handles the water up to your meter. Past the meter, the leak is yours, and that is when a plumber and a restoration contractor come in.

Service area questions
Do you serve every part of Mission Viejo?
Both main ZIP codes, 92691 and 92692, are covered. Tell the dispatcher your street address when you call and they will confirm.
Is my address in the service area if my mailing city is different?
Coverage follows the property address, not the mailing name. Give the dispatcher the actual street and ZIP and they will confirm coverage plainly.
How do I find out which water district serves my home?
Look at your water bill, which names the district. If you rent, ask your landlord or property manager. With the district's name, you can find its customer line on its website.
Can I get a response the same day?
Same-day response when available. The line is open 24/7, but arrival times depend on the contractor's schedule, so no time can be promised.
